TYPICAL JOSEY...

These pictures are the epitome of who Josey is...a quirky little boy who always has a rock in one hand and always wants to wear two different shoes. This strong willed little boy who was so very mad at me because I made him put on a long sleeve shirt and pants... this little boy who sometimes makes me want to go and hide in a corner is one of the greatest loves of my life...and how lucky am I that every day when I say "I love you JoJo" he says "I love mom"...thank you god for giving me this little boy.

LAVA FEILDS...

Lava fields in Oregon...we just had to stop.

PICKING ONIONS...

This has definitely been one of the highlights of our trip. We had camped near a river in Oregon and as we were leaving we kept seeing and smelling fields upon fields of onions. Well it was just too tempting for us. So we stopped and went to the door of a little house. The lady was just so sweet and let us pick as many as we wanted.

MARSHMELLOW KISSES...

I did a little science experiment of my own this morning.I decided to let the kids choose what they wanted for breakfast. Well lets just say it wasn't a breakfast of champions.I told them they could have anything they wanted. They picked smores over a campfire with Dr. Pepper. Well at least I got some marshmellow kisses from Josey afterwards and a photo shoot with Riley and Easton=) I had to get something out of it!

WAY TOO MUCH SODIUM...

I have to say it was all my bright idea to go to the great salt lake and let the kids see if they could actually float. It was the whole school science experiment sort of thing. Well this was a total bomb! At first everyone was having a good time until the kids realized the salt was burning any kind of scrape or cut they had. I can't believe this was the thing to do in the early 1900's. We did learn the only thing that can survive in salt lake are brine shrimp and that it is definitely salty!(just look at all the salt on riley's face)oh...we also learned that the table salt we use probably came from salt lake. So much for my great science experiment...

TREASURE IN THE WOODS...

Look what we found while camping on the diamond fork river in utah. As we were walking along we came upon this tee-pee in the woods. I don't think it was ancient or anything but how cool anyway. At least riley and easton thought so...

FINDING BALANCE...

Last week we visited Arches National Park in Utah. It is a park of natural rock arches formed by wind. This place is gorgeous complete with formations named delicate rock, baby arch, and my favorite balanced rock. The kids and Tyler are pictured here with balanced rock. It is amazing to me how it keeps hanging on. Don't we all feel like this rock sometimes...barely hanging on trying to balance everything in our lives and at any minute we feel everything is going to crumble. Lord knows I feel this way. My prayer for all of us barely hanging on people is that we can find that precious balance in our lives that we all so desperately seek... I love the first picture of Riley with what looks like an angel's halo...#2 is riley and easton in front of the the Wolfe housing settlement... #3,4,5 balanced rock

FOUR STATES AT ONCE...

The kids really thought this was pretty cool. In four states at the same time..Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.

SUNRISE IN NEW MEXICO...

Sunrise in New Mexico on our third morning...absolutely breathtaking.

LIONS AND TIGERS AND DINOSAURS OH MY!

There are lots and lots of dinosaur museum in the west. We stopped at this little dinosaur museum while passing thru New Mexico.

SUNFLOWERS IN TEXAS...

There really wasn't much in Texas... it was very flat and dry. We did however see tons and tons of these sunflowers on the side of the road so when we stopped for gas I grabbed riley for a photo. The boys really didn't like the idea of getting their picuture made with a flower in hand. Well Easton didn't like the idea and Josey does whatever his brother does. We did take the famous route 66 on our drive thru Texas...that was pretty neat to Riley.

FINALLY ...

Finally at last I have internet access so I can start posting again! I guess you could say I am a little behind. We have been on the road now for almost two weeks in the rv and it has been a blast. Tyler and I both said we really wished we would have done this a long time ago. The kids are loving it as well. Everyday is a new adventure for them as well as a new photo opportunity for me. These pictures were taken on the second day of our trip. I love the one of all three of them.
