A DECADE TOGETHER...

This morning Tyler got up and came into the kitchen where I was working on the computer. This was our conversation...
Me: good morning darling...
Tyler: good morning(gives me a hug and a kiss)
Me: happy anniversary...wow 10 years...thats a long time
Tyler: Yep... we only have four or five more to go
Me: Four or five more to go?(thinking he meant years)
Tyler: Decades...we only get so many decades together

i don't know if he got me a gift or not but really nothing could top our conversation...

EIGHT YEARS AGO TODAY...

eight years ago today at 2:20 on a monday afternoon Easton Hawkins Williamson made his way into our hearts...and our lives have never been the same.

and today this eight year old never stops moving, has ants in his pants, is so serious about his sports, who likes to wear all of his clothes way too tight, eats like a bird, keeps his room spotless, is somewhat of a know it all, loves to swim, likes to have his back scratched, always lives in the moment(love this quality the most), is super smart, is a lover of hockey, baseball, chocolate, and cute girls, and swears he will one day play in the NHL... Easton...sweet child of mine...I am so glad I had you.

WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS...

After getting a bath the other day Gretzky decided he was too clean and wanted to reenact one of the last scenes of Where the Red Fern grows... you know the one of Little Ann at Old Dans grave site. I just loved that movie when I was young and I think I must have read the book about 14 times. When I saw Gretzky in the garden it made me think of that movie.
